Gooooooooooood Morning!
If you happen to have today off due to the holiday, I hope you spend time with your friends and family as you reflect on the meaning of this day.
I wanted to tell you about a brand new, exciting ministry taking place here in the Mount Airy (NC) area. It's a street drama ministry called GROUND TROOP. We will be ministering on the street as well as in the city parks. You will also see us at Moby's Coffee. There has never been a street drama ministry in this city, and we are looking forward to ministering to folks and telling them about Jesus in a unique way. So, if you find yourself in "Mayberry" this summer, and come across people clucking like chickens, sounding like cars or doing a mime; have no fear. It's just us...GROUND TROOP. Please keep the team in your prayers, and I, as I lead in this ministry. The Lord has already opened many doors, and it's exciting!
Last week, I recorded an interview with Christian Radio Station WBFJ. The interview will air sometime in June and when I find out exactly when, I'll make sure I post it on this blog.
Again, please keep us in your prayers. In fact, if you will be praying for us, please post a "comment" on here to let us know. We NEED your prayers. We want to see lives touched and changed for JESUS and we know that the enemy does not want to see this happen. Thank you in advance for your CONTINUED prayers.

Block Party
Hi Everyone!
I trust you all had a great day in Jesus and are ready to face a new week. Some of you have tomorrow off, and I hope you choose to spend it with your family and friends. Let's make sure we spend time to reflect upon it's meaning.
We had a great day yesterday. Our church went into a neighborhood and hosted a bock prty. We had a lot of food and music and gave away bikes and games to the children. The day was also filled with music, mimes, skits and puppets. There was also a clown and someone who did balloon sculptures. Everyone had a fantastic time as we reached out in Jesus' name. Several people from the neighborhood came to church today and one that I know of, asked Jesus into his heart and life. He sat next to me, and I made the opportunity to talk with him after service and we were able to get him his own Bible. Please keep this person in your prayers.
Our family all got involved in the block party. I did 2 mimes and a skit, Lisa was in a skit, Amanda worked the puppets and Isabella was in a mime with me and the children. We were blessed to be part of it.
Did you share about Jesus this week? I'd love to hear about it. You can tell us by posting a comment for all to see.

What Isabella has been up to
Last week, Isabella had her "Gold Medal Day" at gymnastics. I don't know how those kids do that stuff! If I tried that, I'd break every bone in my body! She did an awesome job. She's looking forward to her summer as well...with summer camp and swimming. This will be her 3rd season being on the swim team.
Update on Amanda's job
Amanda's enjoying her new job at Burger King. They have been training her, so she hasn't had a lot of hours yet. I think she worked 3 times and about 3 or 4 hours each. She's enjoying the veggie burgers most.

She got the job!! She starts on Monday and is very excited. We're happy for her.
Amanda's big day
Our daughter Amanda had her first job interview today at a Burger King. Actually, we should be hearing from her at any time now.

God answers prayer
As some of you may know, a while back Lisa had a scan done and the doctors found sores on her lungs. They were concerned as to what these could be, so another scan was ordered for yesterday. Well, we've been praying and those sores are GONE! Praise the Lord! I wanted to share that as many of you were also praying. Thank you!
